Verify your sending domain

Verifying a domain you own is the most important thing you’ll do for deliverability. It proves to inbox providers that DearReach is allowed to send on your behalf, which is what keeps you out of spam.

How it works

1. In the app, go to Sending health and add a domain you own (for example, yourbusiness.com).
2. DearReach gives you a set of DNS records to add at your domain registrar or DNS host.
3. Add the records, then come back and let DearReach verify them. Verification can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours while DNS propagates.

The records you’ll add

• DKIM signs your mail cryptographically so receivers can confirm it really came from you.
• MAIL FROM / SPF authorises the sending path for your domain.
• DMARC tells receivers what to do with mail that fails the checks above, and gives you visibility.

DearReach shows you the exact record names and values to paste. You don’t need to understand the cryptography, just copy them across.

Tips

• Add every record DearReach lists. Missing one is the most common reason verification stalls.
• If your registrar appends your domain to record names automatically, don’t double it up (avoid dkim.yourbusiness.com.yourbusiness.com).
• Verification is one-time per domain. Once it’s verified, you can add senders on it.
